Theater West End is excited to announce the first show of our spring West End Prep lineup. West End Prep is specially designed for students with a passion for performing and preparing them for a career in the arts!

Students have the opportunity to perform in GREASE! West End Prep High School Intensive programs are audition/tuition-based and open to currently-enrolled high school students.

Grease will be a fully-staged non-abridged version of the show and performed in-person at Theater West End’s state-of-the-art performance space.

SAFETY: Masks are required inside of Theater West End at all times. Including while auditioning, rehearsing, and performing.


Rehearsals, beginning Monday, January, 18

  • Mondays / Wednesdays / Fridays (4:00-7:00pm)

  • Some Saturday afternoons (to be scheduled)

Performances 

  • 3/18 (7pm)

  • 3/19 ( 7pm)

  • 3/20 (2pm, 7pm)

  • 3/21 (2pm, 7pm)


AUDITION REQUIREMENTS

Held Sunday, January 10 from 1pm-5pm. Auditions are by appointment only and will take place in-person at Theater West End, located at 115 W 1st St, Sanford. FOR SOCIAL DISTANCING PURPOSES, PLEASE DO NOT ARRIVE MORE THAN 5 MINUTES PRIOR TO YOUR SCHEDULED AUDITION.

REQUIREMENTS: Prepare 2 contrasting pieces of music, each 32 bars in length. Bring appropriately marked sheet music in the correct key for your audition. ONE PIECE IS REQUIRED TO BE FROM Grease, we ask that your second piece is not. An accompanist will be provided. Accompaniment tracks ARE NOT PERMITTED. All auditioning should be prepared to do a dance call.

* Theater West End has secured licensing to include songs from the film version of Grease in this production. The songs "Grease", "Hopelessly Devoted to You", "You're The One That I Want" and "Sandy" will be included in this production, this requires the removal of the songs "Alone at The Drive In Movie", and "All Choked Up" from the production. Please plan audition selections accordingly.

CONFLICTS: All schedule conflicts must be submitted at the time of audition, any conflicts that arise after the acceptance of a role may require the recasting of your role or removal from scenes/songs from the show.
