Theater West End is proud to announce its 2018-2019 Cabaret Series! These one night only events highlight some of Central Florida's most talented performers in an evening of musical performances and storytelling. Wesley Slade is very excited to bring his tribute to the one and only Danny Kaye to Theater West End’s stage!
This acclaimed cabaret premiered at The Winter Park Playhouse earlier this year, and has since toured cabaret venues and retirement homes. Come hear Wesley tackle the famous songs of Mr. Kaye - such as, “Anatole of Paris”, “Minnie the Moocher”, “Tchaikovsky”, “Happy Times”, and many more - while giving us unique insights into this famous performer’s life and career.
Wesley first stepped on stage in his home state, Mississippi, at the age of five, and he’s never looked back. Wesley is certainly no stranger to the Florida stage, appearing in shows with Maltz Jupiter Theatre, Palm Beach Dramaworks, Gable Stage, Mad Cow Theatre, American Stage, Theatre Zone, The Wick Theatre & Costume Museum, The Studio Theatre at Tierra Del Sol, The Orlando Rep, MNM Theatre Company, Titusville Playhouse, The IceHouse Theatre, Bay Street Players, Orlando Fringe, and more. He can be seen regularly on stage at Sleuth’s Mystery Dinner Theatre, Universal Studios, and Walt Disney World. Wesley is also an accomplished voice over actor and puppeteer, and has been nominated for/won several awards, including a Carbonell Award, Broadway World Award, Miami New Times Award, and was named “Versatile All-Star of the Year” by the Orlando Sentinel.
Danny Kaye’s classic film credits include, “The Court Jester,” “Hans Christian Andersen,” “White Christmas,” “The Kid From Brooklyn,”The Inspector General,” “Up in Arms,” and “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty,” among others. Not to mention the stage musicals, “Lady in the Dark” and “Two By Two.” Along with his critically acclaimed star turns in “The Danny Kaye Show” on radio and television, and the countless one-manshows from Broadway to the West End.
