A HIT OF THE FIRST-ORDER!

Hallelujah! Internationally acclaimed, sinfully funny musical Nunsense will be coming to Theater West End starting on March 26, just in time for Holy Week. The twist is, in what’s been described as “Mrs. Doubtfire enters the Convent,” all of the nuns will be portrayed by men, adding another layer of hilarity to the show. This alternate version of the show is called Nunsense A-men!

When five of the surviving members of the Little Sisters of Hoboken Convent discover that 52 of their sisters have been accidentally poisoned by food prepared by their cook, Sister Julia, Child of God, they’re tasked with the challenge of raising enough money to pay for the burials. While the deceased nuns await proper burial, the surviving nuns decide to perform a variety show at a local high school to scrape together the funds.

The five nuns performing at this show are big-shot former circus performer Mother Superior Mary Regina, her rival Sister Mary Hubert, street-smart Brooklynite Sister Robert Anne, fledgling ballerina Sister Mary Leo, and absent-minded Sister Mary Amnesia, who suffers from memory loss after getting hit in the head with a falling crucifix. The nuns’ personalities clash as they all fight for the spotlight but their sisterhood eventually triumphs as they get closer to reaching their goal.

Nunsense is the second-longest-running Off-Broadway show in history, with a run of 3,672 performances. The show’s success has generated six sequels and three spin-offs, as well as a television adaptation.

Seating

Seats sold by the table, in pairs of two, to maximize social distancing. Guests sit at assigned tables and chairs, similar to a cabaret or dinner theater. (A table for 2 purchase includes admission for 2 patrons.)

Automatic DISCOUNT applied for multiple tables purchased in the same order. Tables purchased in the same checkout will be placed together.

Tables are assigned in advance, based on these 2 criteria… First, our season subscribers will be assigned seats. Then, individual ticket holders, based on the initial time of purchase. You will be shown to your assigned seats on the day of the performance.

INDIVIDUAL SEATING: Individual seats may be available, but cannot be guaranteed for every performance. Due to social distancing and to ensure your safety, we do not sell seats next to an individual party. If a show is likely to sell out, we reserve the right to hold sales of individual seats for maximum socially-distant capacity.
