Grease (High School Cast)

  • Theater West End 115 West 1st Street Sanford, FL, 32771 United States (map)

BOOK, MUSIC & LYRICS by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey
DIRECTED by
Derek Critzer
CHOREOGRAPHY by Iris Johnson
MUSICAL DIRECTION by Robb Ross

Our high school students put on a fully-staged production of everyone’s favorite musical, GREASE!

Here is Rydell High's senior class of 1959: duck-tailed, hot-rodding "Burger Palace Boys" and their gum-snapping, hip-shaking "Pink Ladies" in bobby sox and pedal pushers, evoking the look and sound of the 1950s in this rollicking musical. Head "greaser" Danny Zuko and new (good) girl Sandy Dumbrowski try to relive the high romance of their "Summer Nights" as the rest of the gang sings and dances its way through such songs as "Greased Lightnin'," "It's Raining on Prom Night," "Alone at the Drive-In Movie" recalling the music of Buddy Holly, Little Richard, and Elvis Presley that became the soundtrack of a generation. An eight-year run on Broadway and two subsequent revivals, along with innumerable school and community productions place Grease among the world's most popular musicals.

GREASE is part of our West End Prep program, specially designed for youth with a passion for performing.

We have hand wash, sinks, and paper towels in our restrooms, and additional hand sanitizing dispensers in our public areas. We encourage our audience, artists, and employees to follow CDC hygiene practices regarding hand washing, social distancing, covering sneezes and coughs, and other common-sense precautions.

For the safety of yourself and those around you, masks are required to be worn by staff members and patrons at all times within our facility. We encourage you to enjoy refreshments from our bar, however masks are required to remain in place unless actively taking a sip at your designated table only.
