Love lands differently in Almost, Maine.
On a cold, clear midwinter night, under a sky full of stars, the residents of a remote and almost-not-a-town called Almost, Maine find themselves falling in and out of love in ways that don't quite follow the rules. A woman carries her broken heart in a paper bag. A man shrinks when he loses hope. Two strangers discover they've been standing on opposite ends of the world — and right next to each other — at the same time.
Almost, Maine is a collection of nine short, interwoven stories by playwright John Cariani — tender, funny, and a little bit magical. There's no single plot. Just people, and the strange and beautiful things that happen when love catches them off guard.
It's a show that makes you feel something before you realize it's happening.
NOTE:Almost, Maine is performed by the talented young artists of our West End Prep high school conservatory program.
