A cabaret fundraiser, raising money to support live musicians for our upcoming production, Spring Awakening.
There's a particular kind of magic that happens when a young performer chooses their own song. Not the one assigned in voice lessons. Not the one chosen for the showcase. Their song — the one they've been carrying around in their head, waiting for the right room and the right audience.
That's the room we're building.
Songs of the Stage is a student-led cabaret featuring the rising talent of West End Prep, our pre-professional training program for the next generation of theater artists. Each student has selected their own material — songs that challenge them, songs that mean something to them, songs they're ready to claim. The result is an evening that's part showcase, part rite of passage, and entirely unforgettable.
Why this matters
Every ticket directly funds live musicians for our upcoming production of Spring Awakening. Live music transforms a production — it brings breath, risk, and presence that no recording can replicate. By being here tonight, you're not just watching the next generation take the stage. You're making sure the stage they inherit is one with real musicians, real instruments, and real possibility.
What to expect
An intimate cabaret setting. A curated mix of musical theater selections — contemporary and classic, vulnerable and bold. Performances introduced by the students themselves. Refreshments available. And the kind of evening you'll find yourself talking about long after the lights come up.
